Bodhisattva , "one whose goal is awakening "
Boshisattva of earth means bodhisattva from underground.
One who has taken the vow is
normally known as a bodhisattva of earth.
Means a person who seek enlightenment
while also leading others to the same.
Bodhisattva vow means---
1- To safe all beings from difficulties
2-- To destroy all
evil passion
3-- to learn the truth and teach others
4-- to lead all being to Buddhahood
The vow is devotional.
in nature attempting to
open the heart to the spark of enlightenment
which arises from the development of
wisdom & compassion.
It is state of compassion in which one thinks of & work for the
happiness of others.
Before becoming the Buddha ...
Gautam Buddha
is called a Bodhisattva of earth.
This is not enough just to know the defination of Bodhisattva.
What is much more important is to study the actions of a bodhisattva and
than to behave like one yourself.
Bodhisattva is one who acts as a true adult.
That is, most people in the world act like children. The word "dainin" means "true adult" or "bodhisattva".
Today most people who are called adults are
only pseudoadult.
Physically they grow up and become but spiritually many people never mature to adulthood.
Bodhisattva is one who sees the world through adult eyes and whose actions are action's of true adult.
That is really what a Bodhisattva is.
Buddha has obtained perfect awakening .
While Bodhisattva has not, but is close .
BUDDHA is free from the cycle of death and rebirth, but Bodhisattva is not , may die and re born countless time.
Now Bodhisattva applies to any
enlightened being who has vowed to not become a Buddha until all sentient life is
liberated from suffering.
This vow extends past their death and to all future lifetimes until
enlightenment.
Bodhisattva can
continue to be reborn again and again until their promise fulfilled.
Once - ve tendencies prevents us from enjoying the highest state of Buddha nature.
These - ve tendencies accumulated through "karmic causes" , carelessness, doubts, arrogance, greed, ignorance , blaming, complaining, indifference to others suffering..all - ve drives cleared through the bodhisattva practice.
Practicing the Lotus Sutra makes the Bodhisattva state inter connected with Budha state & not separate.
For the followers of Nichiren Buddhism bodhisattva practice is subsumed in the twins., mutually rein forcing aspects of "practice for one self & practice for others".
The core of Practicing for oneself is the recitation of
"Nam myoho renge kyo" the "diamoku" of the Lotus Sutra , along with key passage from the Sutra. The purpose of this practice is to revolutionize one's inner life to
develop the quality of Buddha, courage, wisdom, and compassion and abundant vitality or life force..
Bodhisattva are thus naturally engaged in society , actively struggling both to change themselves and make the world better, more human place for all people.
The great mission of the Bodhisattva of the earth is to propagate the Mystic Law to enable all people to attain true happiness.
Those who continually uphold the "mystic law" are
"Boddhisatva of the Earth"......
